20 young refugees and asylum seekers in Oxford currently meet each week with their RSN volunteer mentor. Since we started this project in March 2017, 23 young people have been supported through this project to do well in education, grow in confidence and feel more at home in their community.

One young person told us about the difference that his mentor has made:

“My mentor helps with everything I need because she has more experience than me. I improved my English. She teaches me about confidence and not being shy with other people.”

In July, our Oxford staff members Torie and Georgina are running 10k because, in Torie’s words:

"This summer we’re planning to gather young people from our London and Oxford mentoring hubs - most of whom are in the UK without families - for a  fun social time together in the city of Oxford. We want them to build relationships, make memories and ultimately to have some normal positive teenager experiences!"

Can you chip in to their fundraising efforts to make this day possible?

Help Torie and Georgina hit their target
