RSN's participatory training sessions will equip you to better support young refugees and asylum seekers to move forward in their education.
Who is RSN's training for?
Anyone who wants to learn more about educational progression for young refugees and asylum seekers and to improve their own practice in supporting them.
To date, we have run training for teachers, student support workers, careers advisors, social workers, refugee community organisations, police, students, other NGOs, universities and churches. In 2018-19.....
What topics does RSN offer training in?
We regularly deliver the following training sessions to mixed groups of practitioners:
- Further education pathways for young asylum seekers and refugees
- Access to higher education for young asylum seekers and refugees
- Working with young refugees and asylum seekers
We are also able to offer in house training on the above topics, along with bespoke sessions on:
- Pathways through FE and HE for young asylum seekers and refugees
- Mentoring and befriending for young refugees and asylum seekers
- Ways in which faith communities can welcome, engage with and support refugees and asylum seekers
- Education in emergencies
How much does RSN's training cost?
Our regular 3 hour trainings in FE and HE cost £70 per person, or £60 for those from voluntary sector agencies.
Our in house prices are typically £850 for a 3 hour session for up to 15 people, with lower rates available for voluntary sector groups. However, please get in touch with us to discuss your specific training needs and your available budget.
