We are passionate about engaging and equipping faith communities to welcome and care for refugees and asylum seekers in their neighbourhoods.
We believe that refugees and asylum seekers bring a richness of life experience and culture which can hugely benefit and improve society and we want to see faith communities at the forefront of facilitating and encouraging this. It has also been our experience that young refugees and asylum seekers are best placed to progress in their hopes for the future when they are surrounded by a supportive and welcoming community.
We support faith communities to do this by:
- running training
- speaking at conferences and events
- providing teaching and prayer resources
- cultivating links with networks and communities to support each other's work
"With the scale of the global refugee crisis it can be hard to know how to help. RSN provides our church community a tangible way to get involved in the lives of young refugees here in London and we are honoured to play a part in giving them hope for a different future."
- Tim Frisby, Social Action Coordinator, Christ Church London
Faith community partnerships
We're on the steering committee of For Refugees and have spoken at a wide range of Capital Mass refugee events across London, Muslim student conferences and local church meetings. We're grateful for all the faith communities which have taken collections for our work, including Spring Harvest's 2016 conference offering, who give generously to our work, and who support our work through prayer.
