Volunteer
The majority of our volunteers are mentors in our educational mentoring programme. If you would like to work with us to help a young refugee or asylum seeker progress in their education, we’d like to hear from you.
You will need to be willing to give up an hour a week plus travel time, for a minimum of six months.
All mentors must complete our interview and training process and undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check before being matched with a young person. Mentors are supported and resourced by our Mentoring Coordinator, Hannah.
“Meeting my mentee is great – it’s rewarding to see him progress in his learning, and we have a lot fun! I’d recommend it to anyone.” – Tim, RSN mentor
RSN volunteers have also participated in social activities, helped with the women’s group, taught English in the Brent Winter Night Shelter and carried out office administration.
