Carolyn coordinates RSN's educational mentoring hub in the Birmingham area. She is a qualified TEFL teacher with a BA in Development Studies and Geography from SOAS and has over eight years of youth work experience.
She spent a number of years coordinating informal community English classes for women in Southall alongside her work with RSN when she was the Mentoring Coordinator in west London and worked in our specialist support team. Before that she worked for Near Neighbours based at The King’s Centre Southall and at a private language school teaching English. She has a keen interest in inter-faith work and dialogue and speaks Arabic as a result of spending thirteen years of her childhood growing up in Egypt.
