Alongside direct support work with young refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking, we undertake research and consultancy projects in our areas of expertise.
We value a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach to our research and consultancy, with many of our experienced team members taking an active role in this aspect of our work. RSN's director, Catherine Gladwell, is an expert in child education in emergencies and has over 9 years research and consultancy experience including work with UNHCR, War Child Holland, UNWRA and Save the Children. All our team have experience of working internationally in post-conflict situations or in the UK refugee sector, and all those involved in research projects have relevant masters degrees.
To date, we have carried out research and evaluations for a range of organisations including the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). We have also worked in partnership with IOM to carry out research on the levels of care separated children receive in different EU member states for the European Commission, with Article 26 at the Helena Kennedy Foundation to provide policy advice on access to university for refugees and asylum seekers, and with Nokia to research the use of mobile phones to help protect against trafficking.
