Internships

Refugee Support Network occasionally has opportunities which enable people to gain experience of working in the NGO sector.  Roles are project specific and set for a defined period of time. 

These projects range from conducting research to running summer social programmes.

One recent intern, Mike Thomason, a post-graduate studying refugee issues in Canada, was with RSN for three months, conducting a needs analysis amongst 15 refugee community organisations in Brent.  He says of this time with us:

“My internship with Refugee Support Network has really helped me to understand the relevant issues in a practical as well as academic way.  It was a privilege to meet so many wonderful people in the local refugee community organisations, and I felt like I myself was learning a lot, but that I was also making a tangible contribution to the ongoing work of RSN.”
