Research & Consultancy

Refugee Support Network carries out research and consultancy projects relevant to our work.

We are currently working in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to carry out research on the levels of care separated children receive in different EU member states for the European Commission; with Article 26 at the Helena Kennedy Foundation to provide policy advice on access to university for refugees and asylum seekers; and with Nokia to research the use of mobile phones to help protect against trafficking.

Refugee Support Network also works with Jigsaw Consult to carry out consultancy work on issues of education, migration, emergencies and conflict.  Recent work carried out by RSN staff members includes work evaluating education programmes for displaced Sudanese children for War Child Holland, writing a policy paper on girls’ education in emergencies and conflict for the Global Campaign for Education, working with the Global Education Cluster for education in emergencies in South Sudan, working with UNRWA on their education strategy for Palestinian refugee youth, and writing a paper on the situation of unaccompanied minors in the UK who turn 18 and have their asylum claims rejected for UNHCR.
